We'd like to extend a warm whimsical welcome to Moonlight & Whimsy's newest intern - Megan Westbury! Megan will be assisting us with venue setups and photoshoots as well as having a golden opportunity to learn about the inner-workings of the wedding & event industry. What drew us to Megan was her infectious smile, her determination and her can-do attitude! She's been a long-term fan of ours for quite some time, so she's pretty stoked about having this opportunity - almost as stoked as we are to have her! You might hear from Megan now and then on the Facebook page - so make sure you all say hello!

We put Megan in the hot seat - and fired random questions at her. Here's what she had to say:

Q1. What inspires you about the wedding/event industry?
The creative aspect. Helping create an event that 'fits' the couple/client. Due to a tight budget I had to do a lot of stuff  for my own wedding, and it took me by surprise how much I enjoyed it! I've never been a girlie girl & my wedding day was, for a lot of our guests, the first time they'd seen me in a dress!

2. What drew you to Moonlight & Whimsy?
Cupcake wrappers!! I think M&W offers something a little bit different/off beat than other event stylists I've seen. And offbeat is good, more people should march to the beat of their own drum more often!

3. If you had a cocktail named after you – what would be the ingredients?
I'd love to say something fruity, but I can't go past a kahlua base (coffeeeeee!). I used to make one in my former life as a bar wench with kahlua, banana liquer, baileys, ice & milk. We called it a funky monkey. Very yummy, very potent, but easy to drink.

4. What’s your superpower?
I have an extraordinary sense of smell (not really a good thing!), husband has accused me of having bat-like hearing, my magic mummy kisses can cure all sorts, I can function pretty well without waking up entirely, have inane ability to store trivial information.

5. What’s your favourite M&W product?
Cupcake wrappers, fairy berries, flexible willows...too many! I'm diving headfirst into the workroom next week - so I can't wait to play some more!

6. If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?
I would love to see the northern lights. My husband finds it amusing because I hate the cold.

 7. What’s your guilty pleasure?
A platter of yummy stuff: double brie, spicy crab dip, mettwurst, pickles onions & grilled capsicum. *homer moment*. Hope you meant a foody guilty pleasure. If not, afternoon naps, they're rare but wonderful!

8. Favourite perks about interning for M&W?
Cupcakes!! And finally someone else understands that coffee IS a food group!

9. What are you looking forward to learning the most?
Everything!!!!

10. The quote you live by the most is:
Oh, I love a good quote but never remember them properly enough to live by!! And life is always evolving, so quotes to live by change. But...one that comes to mind is the one that starts with "People come into your life for a reason, a season, or a lifetime" I believe a friendship doesn't have to last a lifetime to be considered a good one.
